The talented woman behind the hit Firework has officially been added to the lineup of performers for the Cinema Against AIDS charity event at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.
Katy Perry has been added to the line-up for this year’s Cinema Against AIDS event. The popular singer will be joining other Hollywood celebrities, including Sharon Stone, Kevin Spacey, Milla Jovovich, Adrien Brody, Heidi Klum and film producer Harvey Weinstein. The event, which takes place on May 19th at Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc, Antibes, France, is held annually alongside the Cannes Film Festival and is aimed at raising awareness of AIDS. It features performances, fashion shows and other cultural and artistic activities to encourage contributions and support for AIDS research. In the past twenty years, the event has raised over $170m for research into the treatment and prevention of AIDS.
