Katy Perry appeared keen to show the world her relationship with Russell Brand is the ‘real deal’ as they walked through Los Angeles yesterday.
The singer wore a midriff-revealing T-shirt emblazoned with the song lyrics: ‘The Real S***, S*** to make you feel s***.’, as she and Brand, 34, popped out to buy smoothies and petrol.
Katy’s choice of words, taken from the Lil Kim and Mobb Deep song Quiet Storm, appears to be a retort to speculation that her relationship with Brand was merely a publicity stunt.

Despite Brand’s reputation as a bit of a lothario, the couple have been inseparable since last month’s MTV Video Music Awards in New York.
They have even been reportedly looking for an LA love-nest together in Britney Spears’ neighbourhood of West Beverly Hills and West Hollywood.
An LA estate agent insider told Heat magazine: ‘They’re hoping to lease a house for around $7,500 a month. They have just spent a few days searching for a traditional home in LA.
